COLLECTORS TAKE HEED!!
Rare seedlings available. Melcanna baccifera, an important bamboo native to the Indian subcontinent, has come up on its 50 year flowering cycle here in Costa Rica. One of the very few bamboos to produce a large pulpy fruit, these are available only until the plant stops producing them. They can be had as germinated seedlings (much faster in growth than a normal-sized bamboo seed) or as the more easily transportable fruits.
